Shoulders - Doorway Turn

Good for: Tension in shoulders/upper-back.

This stretch is great for people with tension in their shoulder and upper-back. The "rounded shoulders" are commonly from shoulders being protracted by the pectoralis-minor muscles - This exercise allows you to stretch these muscles which eases and relaxes the muscles in the upper-back.


  • Stand near the side of a doorway with your feet apart.

  • Flex the elbow of your left arm and place your palm on the door frame (or wall) just above head level.

  • Now, slowly turn your upper body away and to the right while keeping your left arm in a fixed position.

  • Switch sides and repeat
